How does per-app pricing work?
You pick a size for each app you deploy — Small ($5/mo), Medium ($20/mo), or Large ($50/mo). Your bill is simply the sum of the apps you're running. No account subscription, no minimums — pay only for what's live.
Can I run different sizes for different apps?
Yes. Size is set per app, not per account. Run a Small blog and a Large database side by side — each is billed at its own size, and you can resize either one anytime.
Why use CodeHost instead of a cheap VPS?
A VPS costs about the same, but it's just a bare server. You'd own SSL, OS patching, app updates, backups, monitoring and scaling. CodeHost handles all of that, and your app is live in under 30 seconds.
How does the revenue share work?
A portion of every app's fee is automatically routed to the open-source maintainers of the apps you deploy. No opt-in, no extra cost — it's built into our model. We've distributed over $2.4M to maintainers since launch.
Is there vendor lock-in?
No. All apps run as standard containers. You can export your data, configs, and databases at any time. We use open standards specifically so you're never trapped.
What happens if my app outgrows its size?
Bump it up a size from the dashboard with one click — billing is prorated. Medium and Large apps also auto-scale within their tier to absorb traffic spikes.
